Why Weehawkenpizza.com?

Initially, our website was anthonypizzaparkave.com in reference to Park Avenue. The name was cheesy and boring as hell with no flavor and long. I mean imagine having to type all that on a phone. Yak! Our pizzeria is facing the beautiful tall brick building at Park Avenue: The Weehawken Water Tower. We love the Weehawken Water Tower and the cultural heritage it carries and read whatever we find about. For no reason it is an inspiration for us and that what triggered the name of our website weehawkenpizza.com. There are so many restaurants near me pizza places, Italian restaurants, in Weehawken, and Union City, in fact, NJ is among the highest pizzeria shops per capita in the nation, even higher than New York. So needless to say how competitive is our market. Someone would wonder then why would anyone venture into yet another pizza shop? When we asked Zack co-owners, pasta bolognese, spicy arrabbiata, and panini freak, responded:

I like food, like to cook, like engineering, like people, like to socialize, like entrepreneurship, like the internet. They think I am crazy to parlor in NJ, I think I am crazy not to follow my passions – capisce!

We are constantly measuring these service quality metrics, making improvements, and taking concrete steps toward even better performance. Based on years of experience, on-time delivery is influenced by 2 factors 1) weather and traffic conditions which are beyond your or our control. 2) Wrong address, wrong phone number or insufficient instructions: now this is something we could fix together leading to faster service.

Good food is highly dependent on good ingredients and fresh products. While someone could purchase pizza or marinara sauce from a typical supermarket. Professional grade ingredients are often available only in bulk quantities and thus kept exclusive for restaurants. Leading suppliers such as US Food, or Sysco have a minimum that the average household cannot afford. However so, there are food jams that are found locally at farmers' markets - our go-to place. Our ingredients are handpicked to maintain the flavor and authenticity of the food. We buy top quality ingredients with many items imported from Italy, Greece, Spain, or whatever good nitrous requires.

While we kept all the good recipes and cooking procedures from the previous owners, we have dramatically changed our operating procedure.

• we significantly reduced our delivery radius the first step toward on-time delivery
• we added more drivers in particular during rush hours
• we added a secure POS system making sure orders are entered correctly and eliminated taking credit cards on a piece of paper.
• we added a customer loyalty program and revamped our pizza coupon program
• we reduced our menu and focused on what we do best
• we improved our equipment and capacity to accept large family orders and catering orders

Can we talk about pizza again? If you have not figured it out yet, we love pizza, we really do and are so passionate about it. We pride ourselves on making excellent, sorry OUTSTANDING, hand-tossed NY-Style pizza, however, our Grandma and Margarita are even tastier. We recommend you to try our Margarita Pizza with the partially cooked Fresh Mozzarella - it makes a difference. We are here to accommodate many appetites; our food is made to order – “bon appetit”. Our Menu ranges from fresh salads, daily soups, wraps, to pasta, and entrees. From a delicious meal to satisfying snacks or wholesome treats.
